It won't, the issue is not important at all, merely minor as it's a
problem with ksh that does not affect other shells. Also note that in a
shell, when you define a function, it should mask any builtin that
exists, so it's definitely a ksh only issue, and
chinese to me, and I'm not eager to learn about the whole thing to just
ship a standalone .el)

Debian is tricker: there could be many different ones for the
same source packages (not for changelogs) and it also evolves, and is
not attached to a package version, nor parseable. So it's not doable in
apt-listchanges way.

How do you use apt-listchanges ? I mean which apt frontend are you
using? apt-get, aptitude, dselect, something else ?
I just tried under a linux console using apt-get and it works fine (no
need for the double keystroke you reported).
