After recent upgrade my system freezes just like described in this bug.
For the first I thinked that new nvidia driver was the cause of problem,
but after some experiments, described in bug #499541, I found that
downgrading to .24 solved my problem.
Btw, I have cronyd installed.

After upgrade last day (from 1.0.9755 to 173.14.09) X server freezes two
times. There is no reaction on mouse, keyboard or power button, only
reset helps.
I've tried to return back to 1.0.9755, but can't because of dependecies
with xorg core.

No, I am not use arts. And not use KDE. I am use IceWM. But another user
on my box use KDE, and firefox in KDE open that sites without problems.
