In order to enable a passwordless, anonymous file-sharing service for a scanner
and multiple PCs on a private network, I needed to use man vsftpd to find these
parameters:

still cannot do some normal things like list directories and create

fpm for years and likely carried the fpm.ini from a backup. Not sure of
dates and versions because they were on two computers at two locations.
Likely some version information in fpm.ini or more graceful
error-reporting/analysis would eliminate the segfault.
