Package: deborphan Version: 1.7.15 Severity: wishlist A circular dependency exists between two packages A and B if A depends on B and B depends on A. They can only be installed and uninstalled both at the same time.
As both packages A and B are being depended upon by some other package (either A or B again), deborphan doesn't report those packages as orphaned, no matter if they are needed by other packages or only by themselves. Daniel Déchelotte has written a patch for deborphan 1.7.14 (available at [1] as patch, package, ...) that I would really like to see included in the regular Debian deborphan package.
