lsusb does not report any devices when a non-root user run it. No errors
are reported either. I ran lsusb with strace and it tries to open files
under /dev/bus/usb/nnn/nnn which are not world readable. The lsusb man
page says it has to open

If the xkb option ctrl(swapcaps) is set to make CapsLock an additional

Hi,
This bug is not reproducible with Blender 2.42a in sid. I assume that the
3ds import plugin has been updated to fix the problem. Please close this
bug report.
Thanks,
Takeshi

3ds file import script is broken. When importing a 3ds file, you will
get an error message on the console and nothing will be loaded into blender.
I tried importing many 3ds models and always get the same error except for
the value of the object.

When you run an assembly program without any data in the .data section,
you will get a segmentation fault in execve() and the binary won't run.
Here is an output from strace:
$ strace ./a.out

With xmms 1.2.10+cvs20050209-2 on a sid box, I can properly configure
the ALSA output plugin to use the master volume as the mixer device for
xmms. You have to restart xmms to take the change into effect, but
that's another issue if it's not acceptable. I think this bug can be
closed.
