I am experiencing the same issue with a Canon 9000F scanner: when I switch
the scanner off then back on, scanbd fails to reconnect to it. The error
message is identical (mutans mutatis) to that in the logs posted here, but
in my case `scanimage -L` shows that the device name has not changed.

FWIW, even though this is a GCC bug I bisected it in the Linux kernel with
good=6.1.0 and bad=6.1.2 and
with the team to get this done. Especially since

libdevice-i2c-perl locally on my Odroid SBC which is working. I guess
this binary package would be equal to an "official" build.

Unless we have confirmed that these 'flavors' don't rely on non-dynamic modules
that need compiled in at compile time I generally am in agreement. There were
options enabled at some flavors that are not invseparately packaged modules
because they needed to be in the executable at compile time.
