Hi,
I tested 2.0 with linux-image-3.5-trunk-amd64 3.5.5-1~experimental.1 and
hit a number of issues. The most major issue is:
$ stap -e 'probe kernel.function(do_execve) { printf (%s, probefunc()); }'

CONFIG_UPROBES lets systemtap place probes on user code just like
kprobes lets it to do with kernel code. Support was merged mainline in
3.5. Please consider enabling this option.

It doesn't work with current 3.2 kernels either so that's at least not a

Did you report the above to the debian kernel team? Userspace probing is
useful by itsel.

if I backport these commits to systemtap 1.7 that is going to be part of

Hi,
I managed to reproduce this by running screen -rd inside
screen. Here's more information from gdb, now with debugging symbols:
(gdb) x/4i $pc

0x4013bc48 strncpy+28: cmp r12, #0
0x4013bc4c strncpy+32: strbr12, [r3]
Hi,
in fact screen -rd inside screen seems to crash trivially on amd64
too:

Hi,
I had a quick look at the tools. They convert a floorplan description
into a bitstream and back. However for a complete workflow the
following bits are missing:
* VHDL/verilog compiler to netlist
* place and route tool to turn the netlist into a floorplan
Is this correct?
