When uploading a new package to the FTP-master signed with a GPG key
that has latin-1 encoded UID(s), processing of the package fails with
a unicode error in dak.
I discovered this when trying to upload a new version of

Actually, Flent can function without a ping tool if you don't want to
run tests but only look at data files from others. So wouldn't it be
better to put ping into Recommends? The package doesn't depend on
