Yes it does, but only if you select apache integration mode.
This way the integration is automated for apache
php5 support is also not installed by default, so libapache2-mod-php5
should be the appropriate dependency.
I'm not sure, what you did during install, but typo3-dummy depends
on php5 which itself depends on
