Thanks a lot for your quick reaction, Martin!
I can confirm this bug to be fixed by now, as I just updated apt and
were able to install dino-im from buster-backports. Thankfully, no chat
history got lost.

I can confirm this bug. After doing an apt full-upgrade, I faced the
same issue as OP. However, I was not able to fix it by downgrading
packages, but instead used a similar approach to the way described in
the btrfs bug #950556 [1].
After chrooting into the system, I changed the following file:

The bug seems to be fixed in current stable. After fast-forward upgrade from
2.6.32-30 to 2.6.32-34squeeze1, the trip points have remained exactly the same

This bug stopped to occur with switching from KDE to XFCE. It therefore
seems that the X server restart was rather a cause than a consequence
and that the bug is not related to pm-utils but rather kdm or kwin.
Unfortunately I have removed KDE and cannot test it furhter right now.

Hi all
Just installed Agnula/DeMuDi (a Sarge derivative) on my desktop, and set up
gdm with XDMCP enabled. I was able to make remote logins from my laptop (then
running Mandrake 9.2/10.0 hybrid with kdm 3.2-79mdk). So far so good. Then I
wiped my laptop and installed Debian Stable. With gdm, I
