I adopted the package python-reportlab and upgraded it to version 4.0.4,
which is now a pure-Python package. There are still transitional
packages like python3-renderpm, but I would like to suppress them as

I packaged furo for debian in order to be able to keep maintaining the
package sympy, which depends on it.
However sympy's documentation is rather big. Creating a minimal sphinx
tree with sphinx-quickstart is not enough to trigger the bug which you
are reporting.
