and apt-get did not require an upgrade also for libapt-inst1.5 to
version 0.9.9.4.

The googleearth package built includes the libcurl.so.4 shared lib that comes
with the googleearth blob.
This library now no longer works with the google earth servers and will always
return Invalid HTTP Request
In addition to changes in the control files for googleearth-package and the
googleearthdeb that it generates,
of course fixing the problem requires also that the libcurl.so.4 that comes
with the googleearth blob be removed
from the package created by googleearth-package.

I noticed that the search function no longer works with
googleearth_6.0.3.2197+0.7.0-1
and always returns Invalid HTTP request, although the URL returned, found
using wireshark,
is valid and can be cut+pasted into a browser.
Using the google-earth-stable_7.1.1.1871-r0 (from earth.google.com)
Two more freezes this morning without possibility to switch to console ... And
yes of course each time I lose data.
I'm tired ... after using debian since many years I'm looking for moving to
another distro.

I am still able to reproduce this bug with my up to date wheezy.
My computer freeze two time this morning when I was scrolling a libreoffice
writer doc.
And no, I can't switch to a console to kill the X session, whole computer is
frozen.

I read this bug with interest although I've had no problem using nvidia drivers
304.64-4 with gnome 3.4.
Possibly related, note below that for the libGL.so library mentioned, libGL.so
points to the mesa diversion while libGL.so.1 points to the nvidia version.

using linux-image-3.1.0-1-686-pae 3.1.8-2.
I upgraded to linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae:i386 3.2.35-2 and get a similar
