I tried downgrading amarok (using snapshot.debian.net) to 1.4.8-2.
Same problem. Then I tried downgrading libsqlite3-0 to 3.5.7-2 from
3.5.8-3, which fixed it. (Then I re-upgraded amarok to 1.4.9.1-1 and

The problem could related to the acceleration architecture. You're using
the default right now (XAA). Does it help if you add:

by WindowMaker. This does not seem to be a compositing problem,
because it is identical regardless of whether I have DRI enabled or

With the update to libpixman, I can now run 1.9.99. It mostly works,
except 2d performance is abysmal -- full-screen windows (1152x900 for
me) take about a second to redraw. (however, 3d performance is as
good, or maybe slightly better, than it ever was)
