Hi, I would like to try to investigate this issue further and possibly
fix it, but don't know where to start.
Could anyone give me some directions and answer subsequent questions?
Many Thanks

I think the package should remove that config file when it is

Of course I'm willing to do all other maintenance tasks as well.
I'd do some initial reading on my own and can I then get some guidance to
get me up to speed?
Thanks

Just got a confirmation from my wife that she has the same issue on her
laptop with identical Debian version, installed the same way.
USB mouse is not functional after boot, or after wake up and she has to
unplug and plug back to fix it.

To me it looks like the mouse device is recognized by (udev?) at boot - I
can see that in the log, but for some reason it is not activated.
When I then unplug it and plug back, it is both recognized and activated.
See the log excerpts I sent earlier on.

I updated /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/driver-policy to be:
MODULES=most
(it was MODULES=dep)
and did:
update-initramfs -u
and restarted, but the problem still persists.

I do not know how to raise priority so would someone mind doing that

This is wodim, not cdrecord. Don't expect it to behave like cdrecord in any

I tried both removing the files and setting the FIREFOX_DSP var, but still
firefox will not start.

Doesn't seem to make much sense to me - the specified directories
don't exist. What was the link meant to do?
* Still couldn't debug firefox due to the problem mentioned
in the previous point.

Nothing helped so I tried to debug firefox as you suggested, but the debugging
