Hi! I, too, have been experiencing this bug for more than a year. Applying https://www.github.com/scop/bash-completion/ commit/f1ddf810e4ee6693acb9fab1be1794586aa111a0[1], fixed it right away. The bash-completion version I've applied it to, was 1:2.11-5, so just as the comment above.
