Package: gavodachs2-serv Version: 2.3+dfsg-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? while installing this package (and others) noninteractively, the installation paused with a "Password:" prompt. No explanation was given as to which password is required, or what for. Running ps from another shell showed thta it was running "su", which probably was responsible for the password prompt. * What was the outcome of this action? Instalklation was unexpectedely hanging. * What outcome did you expect instead? The package should not pause installation, and, if a password is required, should explain what password is reequired and what it is for. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (990, 'stable-updates'), (990, 'stable-security'), (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, x32 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-10-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
