Package: exiv2 Version: 0.27.3-3+deb11u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
On Debian Stretch and Buster I'm able to run 'exiv2 rm file.tiff' to remove all metadata from a TIFF file. However, on Debian Bullseye this only removes some metadata, notably the XMP data (the whole '<x:xmpmeta>...' XML stuff) remains in the resulting file. I also tried version 0.27.5-3 from unstable with the same result. If desired I can provide a test file, but it's quite trivial to build one with GIMP and its metadata editor. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-13-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages exiv2 depends on: ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u3 ii libexiv2-27 0.27.3-3+deb11u1 ii libgcc-s1 10.2.1-6 ii libstdc++6 10.2.1-6 exiv2 recommends no packages. exiv2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
