At least two people have reported the same issue on sheevaplug and guruplug failing to boot with a message "FDT and ATAGS support not compiled in". I suspect this was fixed in 2022.10-rc5 upstream with this commit: https://source.denx.de/u-boot/u-boot/-/commit/a8a0c55f9d1cd0f4618288b25f63857373015391 arm: kirkwood: Add CONFIG_SUPPORT_PASSING_ATAGS Both tests confirm it working again with u-boot 2022.10+dfsg-2 and 2023.01~rc4+dfsg-1 from Debian. live well, vagrant
