Note, instead of emailing 1028073-d...@bugs.debian.org to close a bug before the fix is in Debian, it is custom to add a 'Closes: #1028073' string in debian/changelog of the upload with the fix. This will ensure the correct version is attributed to the fix and that the bug stay open until the fix is available from the Debian archive.
