a proper fix has been added with
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/commit/c7a21ecbeecefe7c2dfc9e950b3d6bb42351d476
This means that the function PyConfig_InitPythonConfig must be replaced
with PyConfig_InitIsolatedConfig.
The error occurred because PyConfig_InitPythonConfig parses all

I have had the same issue after the last update.
I managed to corner the problem finding that the *.desktop file call
freecad with the --single-instance option and freecad does not
recognise it. This option is added by the run_single-instance patch
(see 1:). The issue arises because
