Please unblock package gnome-dvb-daemon and reduce the days required to reach Testing. [ Reason ] The gnome-dvb-control app doesn't run because it needed to be updated for Python >= 3.8. https://bugs.debian.org/1036124 [ Impact ] The gnome-dvb-daemon binary packages have no reverse dependencies in Debian and have a low popcon. [ Tests ] dh_auto_test runs some basic checks and would fail the build for failures (but aren't testing this specific bug) gnome-dvb-daemon has no autopkgtest and doesn't trigger other autopkgtests I installed the new version of gnome-dvb-daemon on Debian Bookworm and was able to successfully run gnome-dvb-control. [ Risks ] [ Checklist ] [X] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [X] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [X] attach debdiff against the package in testing [ Other info ] A minimal debian/upstream/metadata file was also added in this upload (I thought I had reverted the change but it is harmless).
