Package: cytadela Version: 1.1.0-4 Severity: important User: pkg-gnome-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org Usertags: wayland
cytadela has behaviour very similar to https://bugs.debian.org/1037045 in blobandconquer. To reproduce: * GNOME 43 in its default Wayland mode, with Xwayland available * either of: * "classic" SDL 1.2 (libsdl1.2debian version 1.2.15+dfsg2-8 tested) * sdl12-compat (libsdl1.2-compat-shim version 1.2.64 tested) * run blobAndConquer Expected result: gameplay Actual result: > Welcome to the Citadel! > > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Reading the OpenGL vrsion and extensions... > !SDL_SetVideoMode(640, 480, 3D): Couldn't find matching GLX visual > > Error: Could not initialize OpenGL! > Exiting... Workaround (1): log out, and log in to "GNOME on Xorg" instead. Workaround (2): install libsdl1.2-compat-shim *and* run with SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland,x11 in the environment (which is not the default, even with SDL 2, because it can cause regressions in other games) -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.0 APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'buildd-unstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'buildd-experimental'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages cytadela depends on: ii cytadela-data 1.1.0-4 ii libc6 2.36-9 ii libgcc-s1 [libgcc1] 12.2.0-14 ii libgl1 1.6.0-1 ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1] 9.0.2-1.1 ii libsdl-mixer1.2 1.2.12-17+b3 ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.64-2~1+1+g544b03a ii libstdc++6 12.2.0-14 ii libvlc5 3.0.18-2 ii vlc-plugin-base 3.0.18-2 cytadela recommends no packages. cytadela suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
