Package: filespooler Tags: trixie, sid We have ended up with three versions of the clap crate in Debian. I'd like to reduce that number. Ideally to only one, but reducing it from three versions to two would be an improvement.
I'm looking at clap v3 first for a few reasons. * it was only the "latest version" for less than a year. * Less software in Debian seems to use v3 than v2. * We are currently patching clap v3 to work with newer versions of clap-lex, I'm not sure how sustainable this is. I would normally file an upstream bug report first, but I was unable to find an upstream bugtracker, the upstream source is hosted on salsa.debian.org and the upstream developer is a member of the Debian rust team. So filling a debian bug immediately seemed reasonable.
