Package: xdaliclock Version: 2.46-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
After discovering that xdaliclock 2.46 rejects the command line options (-24 -noseconds -nocycle -fg black -fn "-adobe-new century schoolbook-bold-r-*-*-20-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" -transparent -geometry -0-0) I've been using for years with earlier versions, I learned from https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1030801#15 that if I resize and move it to my desired location it is supposed to preserve it's size and location the next time I run it. Unfortunately, while it does preserve it's size, when I move it to the lower/right corner of my 3840x2160 screen, then quit and restart it, it doesn't appear in the same location. I used dconf-editor to monitor the value of the /org/jwz/xdaliclock/geometry setting in the dconf database. When I run xdaliconf, the geometry is 58x17+2539+0. When I move the xdaliclock window to the lower/right corner of my screen, the geometry changes to 58x17+3781+2143. When I quit xdaliclock and restart it, the geometry changes back to 58x17+2539+0. When I restarted xdaliclock I expected its window to appear at the lower/right corner of my screen where it was located before I quit and restarted it. In case it matters, I'm running fvwm 1:2.7.0-2 as my window manager. I did add comment https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1030801#20 to bug 1030801, but got no response, so I'm filing this bug with more details. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.4.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU thread; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages xdaliclock depends on: ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.40.0-4 ii libc6 2.37-7 ii libgl1 1.6.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.77.2-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.38-4 xdaliclock recommends no packages. xdaliclock suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
