Source: tahoe-lafs Version: 1.17.0-1 Severity: important Hi,
I noticed that the new package tahoe-lafs is bringing a new dependency on python3-future which is RC broken and pending removal (#1063264). Version 1.19 doesn't get much better. I can provide a patch upstream for a big cleanup, but it would be easier if upstream is cooperative: i.e. willing to drop Python2.7 compatibility to get Python3.12 compatibility. Greetings --- tahoe-lafs $ grep future debian/ -r debian/control: python3-future <!nocheck>, tchet@brix /tmp/tahoe-lafs $ grep -e ' future' -e ' past' -r | wc -l 774 /tmp/tahoe-lafs-1.19.0 $ grep -e ' future' -e ' past' -r | wc -l 608 -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (501, 'testing'), (450, 'unstable'), (400, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.6.13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_USER Locale: LANG=fr_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_BE:fr Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
