I was going through the bugs on texmacs package. According to the upstream bug tracker https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=10540 this bug was fixed since texmacs 1.0.4-R3. If there are no objections from anyone, I would like to close this bug.
