Package: zeroconf Version: 0.2-1 Severity: serious The ifup hook script is currently called '/etc/network/if-up.d/zeroconf-up'. There is no need for an '-up' suffix because the file is in the "if-up.d" directory. Other packages follow the convention of naming their hook scripts after themselves, without an "-up" or "down" suffix. Please follow this convention.
I have filed this at an RC severity in order to prevent the package from migrating to testing while you consider this issue. I only do this for convenience. Once the package is in testing there is more of an obligation to implement these changes in a foolproof manner, which in this case requires renaming code in the preinst. So long as the package is only in unstable I think you should feel free simply to rename the file. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages zeroconf depends on: ii ifupdown 0.6.4-4.12 high level tools to configure netw ii iproute 20041019-3 Professional tools to control the ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
