Everything works fine again with kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686-smp Version: 2.6.8-16, so this bug can be closed. I didn't actually find out why it works again. I didn't see anything in the changelogs or bug reports, that I could think of it was any how related with our problem. Thanks for your help a

On systemboot when /dev/sdb1 should be mounted following messages were displayed 36 times "device-mapper: : dm-linear: Device lookup failed" "device-mapper: error adding target to table". If i tried to manually mount /dev/sdb1 the message was something like "/dev/sdb1 already mounted or / busy",
