Could you check if they still apply to your version? Unfortunately maintenance of fsview within Debian seems to have gone stale and #288605 indicates that a removale might be necessary at some time. Maybe you can check the open bugs (http://bugs.debian.org/fsviewer) if they apply to your upstream version as well? Please note that I've personally do not have any relation to fsviewer, though actually I'm using WindowMaker.
