package libpoe-component-irc-perl severity 322645 serious thanks I can reproduce the bug described here on my system too, using pbuilder; but if I pass "--extrapackages netbase", the build succeeds. So make sure you're using a pbuilder chroot created using debootstrap --variant=buildd instead of cdebootstrap (which doesn't support the buildd variant and so installs a lot of non build-essential packages, including netbase).
Also, using the "unreproducible" tag is sufficient to say what you meant here; downgrading the bug in addition is unnecessary and inappropriate.
