Package: libpam-ldap Version: 178-1 Severity: minor
If one uses the use_first_password option to pam_ldap.so, an incorrect password errors out with the following message instead of prompting for a password again. [09:23:07] [EMAIL PROTECTED] (531)$ sudo ls Password: sudo: pam_authenticate: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info. This causes some minor invonceniences and confusion with users on multiple platforms. ssh clients, for example, loose connection immediately rather than prompting for the password again. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-k7-smp Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Versions of packages libpam-ldap depends on: ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libldap2 1:2.0.23-6.3.0.1 OpenLDAP libraries. ii libpam0g 0.76-22 Pluggable Authentication Modules l -- debconf information: * shared/ldapns/base-dn: dc=cbd,dc=umn,dc=edu * libpam-ldap/dbrootlogin: true libpam-ldap/override: false * shared/ldapns/ldap-server: 127.0.0.1 * libpam-ldap/pam_password: clear libpam-ldap/binddn: cn=proxyuser,dc=example,dc=net * libpam-ldap/rootbinddn: cn=admin,dc=example,dc=net * shared/ldapns/ldap_version: 3 * libpam-ldap/dblogin: false -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
