Have you worked on resolving #335449: lessdisks: maintainer scripts
modify conffiles? This is an RC bug, and has been opened for 6 months
now. afaik etch is on target for scheduled release in December 2006,
which is 8 months from now. If RC bugs aren't fixed well in advance
of that date, package
