Package: devscripts Version: 2.9.8 Severity: normal Hi,
since svn r256, the patch from #234434 (archived) is basically removed, resulting in "--edit" having the same effect as "--append" which was not intended by the original author (and users, like me). Please restore the initial functionality of the option (not generating a new "*" line). Thanks. bye, Roland -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: sparc (sparc64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-sparc64 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Versions of packages devscripts depends on: ii debianutils 2.15 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii dpkg-dev 1.13.11 package building tools for Debian ii libc6 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii perl 5.8.7-7 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii sed 4.1.4-4 The GNU sed stream editor Versions of packages devscripts recommends: ii fakeroot 1.5.4 Gives a fake root environment -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
