Followup-For: Bug #338895

It seems that ffmpeg's own Makefile's will strip binaries unless you
call configure with --disable-strip. So, here's one more suggested
addition to debian/rules

confflags += --disable-strip
endif

After all these fixes I'm finally able to get

/usr/bin/ffmpeg: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for 
GNU/Linux 2.2.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
