I found no evidence in the changelog that the issue is resolved in the
newest version (1:2.1.15-1; currently in testing).
In short:
- The selection of additional languages and default site language is

enabled and default language. But by the time the postinst script is
run, it has forgotten the answer given there and falls back to the
default of en/en. A subsequent dpkg-reconfigure mailman works,
though.

Hi,
I am expriencing the very same bug with both the sarge and sid
(1:2.1.8-2) versions of mailman.
I can reproduce it on sid with a purge / install cycle.
In the following, I have chosen only `fr' as language in the debconf
The weird thing is that I can't reproduce the bug by a purge / install
cycle. Maybe the purge doesn't purge the debconf database or something
like that?
