The reported problem still exists but has a very simple workaround. Edit the /etc/openoffice/dictionary.lst file and add some mappings to a supported language. Alternatively, create symlinks to the dictionary you want to use.
I used the first option, so my file looks like ## !!! BEGIN AUTOMATIC SECTION -- DO NOT CHANGE !!! ## !!! ADD YOUR ADDITIONAL ENTRIES BELOW THIS SECTION !!! DICT en GB en_GB DICT en US en_US THES en US th_en_US_v2 THES en GB th_en_US_v2 ## !!! END AUTOMATIC SECTION -- DO NOT CHANGE !!! DICT en CA en_GB THES en CA th_en_US_v2 I'm not sure where you keep the various files, but setting symlinks to en_GB for most of the variant forms will probably save a lot of people a lot of headaches. Canadian (and Australian - and most other variants of) English uses British spellings so you don't need separate dictionaries, just a method of redirecting the local variant to the parent language. BTW: the problem also exists in Ubuntu, so fixing it will really help a lot of people! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
