I decided to try an upgrade Yesterday, and now I am happily running KDE 3.5.3
with no crash since then. I encourage every user who encouter this problem to
try to upgrade.
Maybe we should wait until we have more reports before closing this Bug.

For me this is not only a problem with kmail, but with kde, I had the
same problems with konsole.
I posted a message on the debian-sparc mailing list, but it didn't help.
