Package: lib64ncurses5
Severity: important
Version: 5.5-1

When I build ncurses here under pbuilder, on a system without amd64
support, the resulting package has no Depends field whatsoever, while
the official package has "Depends: libc6-amd64 (>= 2.3.5-1)". The
build log shows:

...
# Unfortunately, dh_shlibdeps runs ldd, and 64-bit ldd doesn't run on
# a 31-bit S/390 build daemon, so I can't always use dh_shlibdeps.
# So this is allowed to fail.
dh_shlibdeps -plib64ncurses5 \
                -ldebian/lib64ncurses5/lib64:debian/lib64ncurses5/usr/lib64 \
                -- -L/tmp/buildd/ncurses-5.5/debian/shlibs.dummy
dh_shlibdeps: Compatibility levels before 4 are deprecated.
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: no utmp entry available and LOGNAME not defined; using
uid of process (0)
/usr/bin/ldd: line 161: /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2: cannot execute binary file
dpkg-shlibdeps: failure: ldd on `debian/lib64ncurses5/lib64/libncurses.so.5.5' g
ave error exit status 1
dh_shlibdeps: command returned error code 256
make: [binary-arch] Error 1 (ignored)
...

That dependency probably needs to be hard-coded, or at least read
directly from the shlibs file, unfortunately.
