Package: destar Version: 0.1.1-3 Severity: critical Currently destar is hardwired to use port 8080 (set in /usr/share/destar/python/destar.py and in /usr/share/destar/python/Server.py )
This conflicts with other standalone webservers which may also have been configured to use port 8080. 8080 is very commonly used as the port for a local webserver not intended for external use, since it is so similar to the normal HTTP port 80. destar therefore needs to be able to configure the port it uses, for instance in a file such as /etc/destar.conf. For reference, you could compare with how ntlmaps does it (/usr/lib/site-python/ntlmaps/lib/config.py reads values set in /etc/ntlmaps/server.cfg). Marking this bug as critical since it interferes with the operation of other packages (such as ntlmaps).
