tag 365797 confirmed quit Hi,
I've learned to know that you are NM for the libnm-glib0 package. I'm NM for evolution, and we have a problem with the new 1.6.1 release, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=365797 I've pretty much isolated the problem. Evolution uses NetworkManager status to set online/offline. If dbus is not installed, though, libnm_glib_dbus_init() in libnm-glib0 reports the error, but many times, actually hundreds of times per second. The result is 100% CPU usage. At first I thought the problem was in Evolution, but now I believe it's the rescheduling of connection attempts in libnm-glib.c that causes it. Since you might know the libnm-glib code better, can you have a look at what might be wrong here? Shouldn't the rescheduling of connection attempts have a timer? I can easily reproduce this and have evo+libnm-glib with debug symbols installed, if that can help. RedHat also has this problem, as in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=183870 Cheers, Øystein Gisnås
