Package: libcommoncpp2 Severity: serious While tracking a FTBFS on twinkle I found out that ost_check2.m4 was missing for i386's libcommoncpp2-dev and that it is provided by libcommoncpp2-doc.
This means that if a program needs ost_check2.m4 so that aclocal can produce a good output, the program must depend on the libcommoncpp2's doc on i386 so that it can be compiled, which is of course nonsense. On the other side... other arches however provide ost_check2.m4 on libcommoncpp2-dev which makes libcommoncpp2-dev and libcommoncpp2-doc conflict as they both provide /usr/share/aclocal/ost_check2.m4 on every arch but i386 (I have just tested this on amd64). I have rebuilt libcommoncpp2 on current sid right now in case the bug could be fixed by a rebuild but ost_check2.m4 was still in the -doc package and not in the -dev. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
