Package: pdns-recursor Version: 3.0.1-1 Severity: normal Since the new 3.0.1 release, pdns_recursor started logging four lines of debugging information to syslog every ~30 minutes:
May 17 14:28:47 toroia pdns_recursor[2162]: stats: 5991 questions, 2417 cache entries, 156 negative entries, 46% cache hits May 17 14:28:47 toroia pdns_recursor[2162]: stats: throttle map: 2, ns speeds: 144 May 17 14:28:47 toroia pdns_recursor[2162]: stats: outpacket/query ratio 76%, 0% throttled, 0 no-delegation drops May 17 14:28:47 toroia pdns_recursor[2162]: stats: 1 outgoing tcp connections, 1 queries running, 168 outgoing timeouts This output is not suppressed by the quiet option. Although it could be useful when debugging, at the moment it is merely cluttering up my syslog, and generating an email every hour due to logcheck. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-toroia Locale: LANG=en_CA, LC_CTYPE=en_CA (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages pdns-recursor depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.0-4 GCC support library ii libstdc++6 4.1.0-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages pdns-recursor recommends: pn pdns-doc <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
