Package: kdm Version: 4:3.5.3-2 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
I recently moved my boot partition onto a SATA drive, so the physical hard disks were swapped like: /dev/hda -> removed /dev/hdb -> /dev/hda added -> /dev/sda The contents of /dev/hda were copied to /dev/sda, which is now my boot volume. But now when I select Log Out in KDE or Shutdown in KDM I am not presented with boot options. It seems likely that KDM does not understand that I'm booting from sda, not hda. Although lilo.conf does clearly say "boot=/dev/sda", so I am unsure exactly what is going on. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages kdm depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.1 Debian configuration management sy ii kdebase-bin 4:3.5.3-2 core binaries for the KDE base mod ii kdebase-data 4:3.5.3-2 shared data files for the KDE base ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.3-1 core libraries and binaries for al ii libc6 2.3.6-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.0-4 GCC support library ii libpam-runtime 0.79-3.1 Runtime support for the PAM librar ii libpam0g 0.79-3.1 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.6-2 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.1.0-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.0.0-6 X11 client-side library ii libxau6 1:1.0.0-3 X11 authorisation library ii libxdmcp6 1:1.0.0-4 X11 Display Manager Control Protoc ii libxtst6 1:1.0.1-3 X11 Testing -- Resource extension ii xbase-clients 1:7.0.1-2 miscellaneous X clients Versions of packages kdm recommends: ii logrotate 3.7.1-3 Log rotation utility - -- debconf information: kdm/stop_running_server_with_children: false * shared/default-x-display-manager: kdm kdm/daemon_name: /usr/bin/kdm -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFEl86Xqlk5sZw9W7kRAuecAJ4+yGUVjxMn5nd4RU/OUKsKr4KunwCeOkUH bG13SsotSiYQveLsHFcC5Lg= =1S74 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
