If it works with CIFS, I agree. Did the smbfs driver /ever/ support the Unix CIFS extensions necessary to make hard links work? I am rather sure it did. I always used the Gnu emacs movemail utility to retrieve mail from an smbfs volume, which makes hardlinks to lock the spool files. Thi
