Bug#397608: gabber: really suitable for a release ?

Package: gabber Version: 0.8.8-7 Severity: serious Hi, Gabber is unmaintained upstream since 2003, and many other good alternatives exist (gossip for the lightweight gnome client, gajim for the feature complete gnome client) and are packaged in Debian. Do we really want to release with gabber ?
