Hi, I solved this problem :). To access your camera using gtkam (and other ptp tools like gphoto2) as non root, you should add your user to group 'plugdev'. I think, that some information about this case printed out during configuration this package will be usefull. regards, Rafal. ---

Same problem here, on two different computers running sid. Same applications were working with this camera before. Now, both gtkam and gphoto2 see the camera just fine if I work as root. I belong to the 'camera' group, so this is not a problem. Please let me know if I can be of assistance in debu
