I have the same problem here. Some infos: the bugs only occours when there is a collection to open at startup, i.e. if the file parameter in $HOME/.config/gcstar/GCstar.conf is set. Cleaning by hand the parameter allows me to run gcstar and open the collection using the File menu: I have to do
