Hello, Taking into account John's observations, it seems like gnome-volume-manager should suggest udftools in order to allow proper auto-mounting.
I think a recommends is too strong since imo non-ISO9660 CDs are not that common, which translates, in Debian Policy terms in a usual situation of NOT using UDF CDs.
