Package: root-tail
Version: 1.2-2
Followup-For: Bug #409813

I've recently run into this bug when I switched encoding from latin1 to utf8
(with latin1 all was well).

I tried fiddling with program options and found that setting a font with the -fn
option makes the problem disappear. As in:

  root-tail -fn fixed -g 990x500 /var/log/syslog
