I've just received a tip on this issue: could you please install xdg-utils (it is really small) and try those two commands: 1) xdg-open http://debian.org 2) xdg-open mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] And tell what it started? Otherwise, there is no reliable way to find out what the user's preferred
